RCCP Seeks New Chief Executive

The RCCP finds itself in a position where it now has a long term role to play in setting high standards of patient care through the operation of its voluntary register for Clinical Physiologists, which is currently going through the process of becoming a register accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA)

Our existing Chief Executive, Paul Sharpe, has advised the RCCP Council that he is unable to allocate the time necessary to steer the RCCP on the next stage of its journey and it is to this backdrop that we now start the process to appoint our next Chief Executive. Paul will however stay in post during the recruitment process and for a time thereafter to allow an orderly hand-over of duties.

It is to this backdrop that we now start the process to appoint our next Chief Executive. The Chief Executive will be responsible for defining a clear strategic vision for our organisation and leading us through the next phase of our development. They will be responsible for both our operational and financial performance. This means ensuring RCCP achieves its strategic objectives, while operating efficiently and effectively and within budget.

The role will be working 3-4 days per week with a salary of £50,000pa and will be working from home at least initially.

A suitable candidate for this post will be able to demonstrate previous leadership experience and delivering change in a similar health or third sector organisation with a clear understanding of the key issues within healthcare and regulation.  They will have a high degree of commercial and financial and political acumen. They must be comfortable working in a small organisation, where there is often a requirement to balance strategy with the operational demands of the role. Ultimately the Chief Executive will need to be an inspiring and charismatic leader, who can engage with, and influence, a wide range of stakeholders and operate on a national stage as an ambassador for our organisation.

If you believe you meet the requirements above and would like to work with fantastic colleagues in an ambitious organisation, then we would welcome your interest and application.
